The madness this year started way before March and it seems like there’s no signs of it stopping any time soon. So, what are we going to go do? We’re going to continue to be creative and look after one another. Music can soothe the savage beast so here I am again with a new mixtape full of fresh tunes.
This month’s mix was inspired by the Madonna classic “Little Star,” a song about her daughter Lourdes.
plays Ray of Light a lot and I listened to the album a tone when it first came out, and so, I found a more contemporary hyper pop version that fit exactly what I was looking for. From there, I knew I wanted to include some tracks from oklou and FKA Twigs new albums, and then the rest was a lot of digging and finding tracks that felt like they fit together. As always, this mix is a melange of new old, as you’ll notice some M83 and Burial mixed in there for fun.
