I've been contemplating how to be more patient with myself and the work I deliver since the beginning of the year as well. Interestingly, the more I reflect and read on artists in their 60s, 70s, or even 80s, the more I engage in an inner dialogue about where to focus my attention and try to add more daily practices to be less distracted by my phone. I am still in the process, but I am curious to see how this affects my work.
I've been telling people how I feel like I'm unlearning capitalism these days. Finding content in the little things. Tonight I made french onion soup from scratch! That's a creative expression in my book, i only looked at my phone for the recipe, and it turned out super good 🥳
